You are invited to NAIFA Portland/NW Oregon's first monthly meeting of 2016!

We are kicking off the new year learning the fundamentals of fiduciary responsibility with Michael Fennessy.

Michael Fennessy will be making this presentation on behalf of Guardian Retirement Solutions.  Michael has been working in the financial services industry since 2000 and qualified plans specifically since 2004.  Michael has consulted on several thousand retirement plans representing over $1 billion dollars in assets over the course of his career.  He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University and a Master of Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University

His presentation is entitled “Fundamentals of Fiduciary Responsibility”, which is a 1 hour CE program.  The goal of this program is to give brokers in our community a practical sense of how a broker and their employer groups limit their personal liability, fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities, and create better outcomes for the participants in the retirement plan.  Topics covered will include fee disclosure requirements, who is actually a fiduciary, avoiding fiduciary dilemmas, ERISA 404(c), and tools & resources available to the broker community.
